Blog Lite & Your Predictions

Sorry for the lack of blogs the last few weeks, but my responsibilities at my business, the Capitol and helping candidates outside the building have got the best of me.

The peak at my business is winding down, so I promise to post more often in the very near future.

So, what are your predictions for next Tuesday?

Van Hollen (aka You Suck) or Bucher (aka No I Don't Suck)? Lautenschlager (I'll Go Negative First But No One Will Call Me On It) or Falk (Falk Is Attacking, Read All About It)?

Kohl or Masel? (There you go Ben, sorry for the lack of attention) Ross (Hard Working) or La Follette (Of the La Follette Tradition, Give or Take a Few Name Changes)?

Nusbaum, Wall or Kagen? Gard or McCormick? (OK, anyone who actually thinks McCormick will win should probably find a new line of work)

Travis or Saunders? Carol Owens (Yes She Is Still Alive) or Her More Alive Opponent? Other Legislative Races???

Post your comments. I'll leave 'em all on to read unless you slander. That means even you Todd Rongstad can post...if you're not too busy putting together GOP attack pieces for the Assembly Republicans.

Oh c'mon Mark. Don't give me that crap with saying Lautenschlager went negative first. There's a world of difference between mentioning someone's lack of prosecutorial experience and bringing up an OWI. At least Peg actually talked about herself in her negative ad... What we really need though is a state McCain-Feingold so Peg and Kathleen have to actually stand behind their messages instead of hiding their picture way in the bottom corner *cough* Kathleen *cough*. I think you and Kathleen underestimated the grassroots support for Peg and she's gonna squeak this out. Which is good because we need a counter-balance against Doyle's lack of ethics (this coming from a hardcore Dem).

Van Hollen is going to win this one just because Bucher has no money. By the way, has anyone seen Van Hollen's ad with pictures of Mexicans illegally crossing the border? Beyond the lack of decency in playing to his base's ridiculous fears of illegal immigration, since when do states enforce federal immigration law? And if this "tough as nails federal prosecutor" (his words) plans on adding to the crime labs budget so significantly where will the money come from for this new attack on illegal immigrants (or did he call him criminal immigrants?)

Kohl, I don't know who Masel is nor do I care.

I hope Ross pulls this out but I don't know either way. I've gotta say I was pretty disgusted when I found out about LaFollette's attempts to turn the Sierra Club into an anti-illegal immigration organization. Anyways, doesn't matter, they're state treasurer; it's a meaningless position.

Kagen will pull it out but I think it will be tight with Nusbaum not too far behind. Nusbaum has been spending all summer which really surprised me. Wall will do well and in reality would probably do the best job but his lack of cash is gonna do him in.

Gard of course but McCormick is by far the better person and has gotten fucked over by her party. It's bad when McCormick campaign staff say they don't want to be Republican anymore. (Not that I'm complaining)

Who vs. Who?

God I hope Owens gets sent back home. Anyone would be better than her.

By the way, Mark, I expect you to get back on Doyle's case over his lack of accomplishments and ethics after the November election.

Van Hollen over Pucher
Falk over Peggy
Kohl Kohl Kohl
Doug beats what's his name
Gard crushes odd McCormick
Kagen big over the other two
Travis wins for old times sake.

Why is pointing out that Peg received a OWI while in a state vehicle, "going negative".

Anyone can see Peg's ad is negative just looking at the pic she shows of Kathleen, who looks photoshopped into the image from the "Scream" painting.

As for the predictions:

Van Hollen will beat Bucher and lose the general to Kathleen.

Gard will win, but Terri will be in the 30's.

Ross will not win the SECRETARY OF STATE (not treasurer) primary.

In November news, I think the dems take the state senate, but Mark is going to have to suffer in the minority a while longer in the assembly.

Kinda Cranky: Sorry about the mistake on the position Ross and LaFollette are running for... In a way it underscores my point of the position being mostly useless (just as the state treasurer one is)
